13 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Sweet

Nothing says Christmas like this Scotch twist on a classic eggnog recipe! The 13 Days of Christmas replaces traditional rum or bourbon with Scotch for a richer taste. We’ve made this whisky cocktail with Chivas Extra Rye Cask, which is selectively finished in rye casks for a more mellow flavour – but any of our whiskies will work in this whisky cocktail. Eggnog is traditionally rich and creamy, and we’ve upped the ante by adding Pedro Ximénez sherry for an even sweeter flavour. A touch of spicy nutmeg is perfect for bringing it all together – happy holidays!

WHERE DOES EGGNOG COME FROM?

While the traditional eggnog recipe was popularised in the USA, it’s believed to date way back to the 13th century European drink, named Posset.
