Fruity and sweet - Advanced - Highball glass
This whisky cocktail was created during the 2019 Chivas Masters competition at the Pirouettes bar. Building on the traditional whisky highball style drink, Footloose uses strawberry cordial to bring sweet, fruity flavours to the glass. Perfectly balanced by dry Fino sherry, Footloose is a great summer cocktail to match a hot day.
You can make a range of cordials by simmering your chosen ingredients with one part sugar and two parts water, alongside a touch of citrus juice or citric acid to balance the sweetness.
While stirring the Scotch and soda together mixes the drink, make sure to not overmix the highball as this can cause it to lose its fizz.
