WHAT IF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES COULD EXPLORE THE WORLD WITH EASE?

There are one billion people in the world with disabilities. That’s one billion people who face problems when planning a trip, as accessible places are limited and very hard to find. Wheel the World is the one-stop-shop for travellers with disabilities to find and book accessible travel experiences, including accommodation, tours, and activities. We guarantee accurate information and a 100% accessible experience.

By mapping the accessibility of our travel partners (hotels and tour operators) and organising their relevant information into our systems, Wheel the World provides accurate information and confidence to travellers with disabilities when booking a trip through the platform. In 24 months, 1,100 travellers with disabilities have booked trips through our platform to more than 30 destinations, including Patagonia, Machu Picchu and Tanzania. Our partners have invested more than $1,000,000 to make their own offers more accessible, which has made dream trips into realities for our users.

FUNDING WOULD ALLOW US TO…

Funding will be used to develop the technology behind our system. This is the system that that allows our community of travellers to map out accessibility of accommodation and travel activities that are offered through Wheel the World.

We are aiming to build the largest and most robust database of accessible travel services there is, to allow millions of people with disabilities to travel to places they never thought possible.

MY FAMILY INSPIRED ME

Both my parents and my grandparents inspired me to become an entrepreneur. All of them are entrepreneurs as well!

WHAT’S YOUR BLEND FOR SUCCESS?

We believe that people with disabilities should experience the world like anyone else. Governments, travel companies and tourism professionals are all joining the accessible travel movement, given the exponential growth of people with disabilities traveling around the world. Our commitment is to provide detailed information about what is accessible, as well as specialised customer support throughout the experience.

A successful accessible destination is a blend of accessible accommodation, transportation, and activities. This is why we are partnering with local travel businesses to create 100% accessible services together.
