Featuring tart forest fruit flavours, this twist on a Scotch classic cocktail is still short and strong like the original Old Fashioned cocktail recipe, but favours blackberry syrup over simple sugar syrup for a richer, fruitier flavour.

Chivas 18
10 ml
Blackberry Syrup
3 dashes
Peychaud’s bitters
Orange Zest, to garnish

PRO TIP

When stirring cocktails with ice, only stir until the outside of the mixing glass feels cold – any further stirring will over dilute the drink

ASSEMBLE

Build all ingredients in a rocks glass and stir together with ice for approximately 20 seconds

Add more ice so it’s compact and the glass is full

Garnish with orange zest and serve
