Fruity and Sweet - Novice - Old Fashioned glass
The Signature X is a delicately sweet whisky cocktail that even those without a sweet tooth will love. Like the classic Old Fashioned, this drink uses whisky, Angostura bitters and a form of sugar with a sweet honey syrup. However, just a touch of fresh apple juice changes the flavour profile of this drink, drawing out the orchard fruit notes of our blended Scotch whisky and providing a subtle, crisp freshness.
It’s easy to make a citrus twist! Take the fruit and cut a thin slice of the peel 2cm wide starting at the top of the fruit, all the way to the bottom. Cut off the peel only and remove any excess pulp. Squeeze the long strip of peel over the drink, twist and hold for 10 seconds to keep its shape.
Choose the apple to press for juice based on your preferences – use Fuji or Honeycrisp apples if you have a sweet tooth, or Granny Smith if you prefer a flavour that’s tarter and crisper.
