HOOTS MON SPRITZ COCKTAIL RECIPE

Fresh - Novice - Highball glass

Taking its name from a typically Scottish expression that means to literally 'dismiss another's opinion' this sumptuous whisky cocktail really does challenge anyone to disagree that it works perfectly on the palate. This drink is a delightful fusion of fortified aromatic flavours married to the rich spiced fruits within Chivas Extra 13 Sherry Cask, topped with soda for a refreshing highball variation.

Ingredients

[50] Chivas Extra 13 Sherry Cask
[12.5] sweet vermouth
[12.5] Lillet Blanc
Top with soda water
Lemon twist, to garnish

How to make it

1 Add all ingredients except soda into a highball glass.
2 Add a dash of the soda water, fill the glass with ice and stir to combine.
3 Add the rest of the soda and add another cube of ice (if needed) to make sure the ice is tight and compact.
4 Garnish with lemon twist.
5 Serve.

WHISKY COCKTAIL RECIPE TIP

It’s easy to make a citrus twist! Take the fruit and cut a thin slice of the peel 2cm wide starting at the top of the fruit, all the way to the bottom. Cut off the peel only and remove any excess pulp. Squeeze the long strip of peel over the drink, twist and hold for 10 seconds to keep its shape.
