FOREST FRUIT OLD FASHIONED COCKTAIL RECIPE

Short and strong - Fruity - Novice - Old Fashioned glass

Presenting the Old Fashioned cocktail with a modern twist: The Forest Fruit Old Fashioned. Featuring tart blackberry syrup, this twist on a Scotch classic cocktail is still short and strong like the original Old Fashioned cocktail recipe, but favours blackberry syrup over simple sugar syrup for a richer, fruitier flavour.

    Ingredients

  • [50] Chivas 18
  • [10] blackberry syrup
  • {3} dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • Orange zest, to garnish

    How to make it

  1. 1 Build all ingredients in a rocks glass and stir together with ice for approximately 20 seconds.
  2. 2 Add more ice so it’s compact and the glass is full.
  3. 3 Garnish with orange zest.
  4. 4 Serve.

WHISKY COCKTAIL RECIPE TIP

When stirring cocktails with ice, only stir until the outside of the mixing glass feels cold – any further stirring will over dilute the drink.
