18TH CUP COCKTAIL RECIPE

Fresh - Novice - Highball glass

The Summer Cup was invented by the Victorians for the ultimate refreshing summer drink, and often used Scotch as its base. The 18th Cup, created by the Amateur Mixologist, heroes the velvety Chivas 18, with crisp appleade and ginger ale to lighten the complex base and bring freshness to the drink.
Make sure to decorate the glass with cucumber and strawberries – as well as looking the part, it’ll infuse the drink while you’re sipping on it!

    Ingredients

  • [40] Chivas 18
  • [20] triple sec
  • [20] sweet vermouth
  • [60] appleade
  • [40] ginger ale
  • Strawberry slices, to garnish
  • Cucumber ribbon, to garnish

    How to make it

  1. 1 Add ice to a tall glass and thread cucumber ribbon into the glass.
  2. 2 Add sliced strawberries to the inside of the glass.
  3. 3 Add Chivas, triple sec and sweet vermouth to the glass.
  4. 4 Top with appleade and ginger ale.
  5. 5 Serve.

WHISKY COCKTAIL RECIPE TIP

Got friends visiting? Create the base of Chivas 18, triple sec and sweet vermouth in advance to save on time.

Triple sec is very similar to orange curacao, meaning you can use whichever you have at home in this cocktail recipe.
