This is the whisky cocktail for those that like their drinks extra zesty. Created by Chivas Masters 2019 finalist Gui Ferrari, this drink pairs tangy orange juice and zesty lime with herby Cynar, an Italian bitter amaro, to magnify the intensity of Chivas Extra 13 Sherry Cask.
Wondering how to make sugar syrup? Simply heat one part sugar with one part water, and simmer together until the sugar has fully dissolved. If you like things extra sweet, use two parts sugar to one part water.
It’s easy to make a citrus twist! Take the fruit and cut a thin slice of the peel 2cm wide starting at the top of the fruit, all the way to the bottom. Cut off the peel only and remove any excess pulp. Squeeze the long strip of peel over the drink, twist and hold for 10 seconds to keep its shape.
