HOT TODDY COCKTAIL RECIPE

Sour - Novice - Tea Cup

Is there anything more comforting than a Hot Toddy? Historically, the Hot Toddy was used for colds, with the rich spices and tart lemon disguising the flavour of raw Scotch. Nowadays, the Hot Toddy is simply the perfect warming drink for chilly, winter nights, complete with delicate touches of spice to work in harmony with smooth, quality Scotch.
The Hot Toddy recipe is one of pure comfort: sweet honey, zingy ginger and exotic spices melt together when topped with hot water, with Chivas XV providing a warming kick. Perfect for warming up and winding down.

    Ingredients

  • [40] Chivas XV
  • [10] lemon juice
  • [10] honey
  • {2} thin slices of fresh ginger
  • {1} small cinnamon stick(s)
  • {1} star(s) anise
  • Top with boiling water

    How to make it

  1. 1 Place ginger, cinnamon and star anise into a tea cup.
  2. 2 Add Chivas XV, lemon juice and honey, then top with boiling water and stir together.
  3. 3 Garnish with a lemon slice.
  4. 4 Serve.
