Safeguarding all affected by Alzheimer’s.

The Human Link is a platform that aims to offer a better life to patients with dementia by providing them with more freedom, reducing their caregivers, healthcare professionals and families stress and anxiety, and decreasing the costs of care.

Developed with doctors, patients and professional institutions, it includes an assistive two-way communication tracking device between the patient and caregiver along with financial insurance, medical services at home and, soon, new features such as patient/caregiver support and patient recovery.

Why?

Worldwide, there are 50 million people with Alzheimer’s or a dementia-related disease. This number is predicted to rise to 152 million by 2050*. Alzheimer’s patients and caregivers are affected in multiple ways, with the average yearly cost of care $7,000 per family. In many cases, the patient is unable to resume their normal life and families need to provide full-time care due to the danger of patient wandering.

Our platform, The Human Link, facilitates the management of a serious, debilitating disease through integration of various technological, medical and financial instruments. We address major challenges that impact families with Alzheimer’s patients in home care and professionals in caregiving institutions.

Funding would allow us to…

…launch in two new markets in Europe, Spain and Poland, and open a new medical sales channel for targeted access to beneficiaries, consolidating our position in existing markets. We would also invest in platform improvements (such as new services, software development and hardware upgrades) based on user feedback.

What’s your blend for success?

The Human Link was built on a blend of empathy, technology and vision. Our personal experience with the Alzheimer’s was the most valuable insight when we started. We know what the families have to go through and we also keep in mind the fact that 20 years from now, we will be the elderly people dealing with this disease.
