More women should be involved in developing the tech that will shape our future.

The artificial intelligence industry may have a problem.

Right now, it’s made up of 87 percent men and only 13 percent women. That, according to tech expert and Digital Woman founder Nelly Yusupova, could dramatically skew the outcome of the technology being produced.

“AI mirrors the value of its creators, and we will have built-in biases,” Yusupova says. “And if the data is biased from the start, it’ll take a long time to balance that bias.”

So, what’s the solution? Yusupova explains in the short video above.
