PALOMA COCKTAIL RECIPE

Fruity and Sweet - Novice – Highball

The sweeter, more colourful version of its more popular cousin the Margarita, the Paloma drink is sweet, refreshing and a gorgeous shade of pink. A Paloma recipe echoes that of a Margarita with the simple swap of grapefruit juice instead of triple sec – and our twist switches up another element, too. Chivas Extra 13 Tequila Cask is selectively finished* in tequila casks for a rich yet smooth finish that’s perfect for use in cocktails that traditionally call for tequila.
*A portion of this blended Scotch whisky has been finished in Tequila casks.

    Ingredients

  • [45] Chivas Extra 13 Tequila Cask
  • [20] grapefruit juice
  • [10] lime juice
  • [10] agave syrup
  • Top with soda water
  • Grapefruit slice, to garnish

    How to make it

  1. 1 Shake all ingredients together except for the soda water.
  2. 2 Strain into a tall glass filled with ice.
  3. 3 Top with soda water
  4. 4 Add garnish.Serve.

Shaking the Paloma ingredients together with ice is crucial for breaking down the enzymes of the grapefruit juice for a smoother drink.
