Converting calories into life-saving nutrition.

Burn to Give is an app converting calories burned during exercise into life-saving nutrition for children in need. We’re using a blend of motivational techniques from behavioral science, online gamification, and social networks to motivate users to live a more active and healthy lifestyle. For every tracked calorie burned, we give a calorie to an undernourished child.

Why?

There are currently over 800 million people suffering from chronic hunger and one in three people in the world suffer from some form of malnutrition*. At the same time, there are 2 billion overweight and obese people in the world with 73% leading sedentary lifestyles**.

With our technology, we connect people, companies and malnourished children to address these two global health problems—hunger and obesity.

Funding would allow us to

…further advance our best-in-class technology, ensuring app usability and expand our reach in order to build a global movement with a dedicated community exercising for a hunger-free world. To date, we have delivered over 320,000 meals and inspired over 300,000 people to exercise with the purpose of feeding those in need. Our ultimate goal is to impact the lives of millions of people through sports, technology and compassion.

What’s your blend for success?

We’re true believers that when you do the things that inspire you, it inspires others to do the things that inspire them. Our team at Burn to Give is the best asset that we have. We are a blend of 15 people with different skills, ideas and personalities investing our time, energy and resources with the same mission: to have a positive impact on the world.
