Turning over a new leaf with disposable tableware

Leaf Republic produces disposable tableware and packaging, made from leaves. We do not cut a single tree in our production process, as we use climbing plant leaves. You also won’t find any synthetic additives, paint, or chemicals in our dishes!

It’s no secret that plastic waste is a massive issue globally. The world has already produced over 8 billion tonnes of plastic, and very little has ever been recycled – only about 9%. The rest ends up in landfill, or polluting our oceans. And when disposable packaging and tableware is not made from plastic, it is often made from paper, cutting down forests every year.

The Leaf Republic products use 100% renewable materials, and are biodegradable within 28 days. We have already replaced a million plastic dishes with our eco-friendly innovation, and by 2020 we aim to prevent over a thousand tonnes of plastic waste.
