CHERRY DREAMS HIGHBALL WHISKY COCKTAIL RECIPE

Highball – advanced – Highball glass

There’s no denying that Japan looks incredible in the spring when adorned with pink cherry blossom – so why not bring that beauty to a whisky highball variation? Chivas Masters 2018 finalist Chloe Merz created the Cherry Dreams Highball in homage to the season. This highball recipe keeps things delicate and fresh with aromatic Chivas Mizunara, floral sakura cordial and crisp soda water. Cheers!

Ingredients

[40] Chivas Mizunara
[30] sakura cordial
Top with soda water
Spray with cherry blossom bitters
Lemon zest, to garnish

How to make it

1 To make sakura cordial, steep approximately 2 heaped tbsp of Japanese cherry blossom green tea in 0.2l of hot water for 1 minute. Remove the tea. Add 200g sugar and stir until dissolved. Add 6g mixed acid per 0.1l of tea syrup. Let cool.
2 Build all ingredients in highball glass with ice.
3 Garnish with lemon zest.
4 Serve.
