Solving the world’s identity crisis.
Tykn.Tech provides access to human rights through digital identities. Using blockchain technology, we issue secure digital identities globally that preserve privacy and are resilient to data hacks.
Why?
The problem lies in the current identity systems: siloed, inefficient and paper-based. In the Netherlands, you are labelled ‘invisible’ if you have no identifying documents. As a Syrian Refugee in the Netherlands, our founder, Tey el-Ryula, lived for 2 years as an ‘invisible man’. Moving between 5 camps, Tey felt first-hand the pains of 290 million invisible people and their children.
Tykn's identity system allows public and private institutions to issue and verify digital identity credentials. Users are provided with an app, a digital identity wallet, that allows them to digitally access services from those institutions in a private and secure manner.
With these digital id’s we can also validate the existence of invisible children by allowing midwives to digitally sign on parent IDs and extend services like online healthcare.
Ultimately, we aim to turn invisible people into invincible ones, breaking barriers around identification, and access to a basic human rights.
