Ageing the Chivas house style blend in Japanese oak casks produces gentle fragrant flavours. Finishing our 18-year-old blend in these casks elevates this to a remarkable level.

This exquisite blend is non chill-filtered to maintain its deep amber hue and bottled at a special strength of 48% abv to further concentrate the flavour notes in every single drop. It is an indulgent and intense magnification of the best that the Chivas Regal 18 year old has to offer.

RARE & UNIQUE CASKS

The Mizunara oak casks used to age our Chivas house blend are up to 200 years old. This not only makes them difficult to source, but tricky to work with. Our experienced master coopers use their refined skills to handcraft the oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: a sweet opening with honey, pears and ripe apples. Sweeter notes intensify into the exotic spices of sandalwood, vanilla and a hint of cloves, which are beautifully balanced by citrus orange and lemon rinds. Impressive maturity develops around ripe banana, with a subtle nuttiness.

Taste: sweet clementine orange, nutmeg, almonds, vanilla and homemade raspberry jam appear in a complex arrival, flowing into stewed apples, honey and a tantalising aromatic oak character.

Finish: spices and a sensation of incense perfectly offset by delicate fruitiness. An appetizing dryness provides complexity into the long finish.
