How it’s Made
Chivas XV is aged for a minimum of 15 years and selectively finished in Grande Champagne Cognac casks to bring out the luxuriously fruity and velvety flavours.
The secret to the exquisite taste lies in the unique way the whisky is blended. The Grande Champagne region (or cru) in France is renowned for producing the finest cognacs in the world and adds a rich, refined character to the whisky.
Once matured for 15 years in a variety of different oak casks, some of the whisky is then transferred into hand-selected French oak Grande Champagne Cognac casks before being blended once more with the Original blend. Bringing these casks together brings out the luxuriously fruity notes of the cognac and the smoothness that we’ve come to expect from Chivas Regal.
